Capability & Leadership · Conferences & Retreats

Conference audiences forgive a lot. They remember what woke them up.

Corporate Theatre and interactive sessions scaled for conferences, supervisor forums and team retreats. From 50-person team days to 300-person keynotes - your audience leaves with something they can use on Monday.

The format scales with the room

Smaller rooms get deeper practice. Larger rooms get bigger staging. What stays constant is the interactive thread - audiences are never just watching, and never just listening. Your audience leaves with a sentence they will repeat, a moment they will reference, a skill they will try at work on Monday.

Every conference and retreat session is tailored to your theme, your audience and your supporting program. The plays in our repertoire are the spine; the scenarios, the character names, the language and the post-play discussion are rewritten for your sector and your room.

Often paired with one of our Leadership Development or Presentation Skills sessions for the smaller leadership cohort on the same retreat. The conference brings everyone into the room; the leader session goes deeper with the people who need it.

1

50-person retreat

Half-day or full-day with high interactivity. Every participant gets practice time. Pairs naturally with a Corporate Theatre play and Forum Theatre. The most flexible scale - the room can hold real Rehearsal for Reality.

2

100-person conference

60 to 90 minute interactive session. A live Corporate Theatre play with Character Interview lifts the energy and gives the room something genuinely participatory. Big-room engagement.

3

300-person keynote

Corporate Theatre at scale. The play lands across the room; Character Coaching brings the audience into the action without breaking format. More staging, the visceral recognition still happens.

4

Multi-track conference

We can hold the main stage and run breakout workshops in parallel. The keynote sets the frame; the workshops let small groups go deeper on the topics that matter to them.

Most-booked themes

Most conference and retreat bookings sit inside one of these themes. Each is built to scale up or down and to flex around the rest of your program. Every theme is tailored to your sector and your moment.

  • Upstander on stage - the four Upstander behaviours brought to life through a live workplace scene
  • Multi-generational workforce - how different generations show up to work
  • Difficult conversations on stage - the conversations leaders have been avoiding, performed live
  • Respect at work - the Positive Duty translated into everyday workplace behaviour
  • Change on stage - The Change Play at conference scale
  • Leadership presence - acting-craft demonstrations of leadership voice, body language and presence

What clients say
We were the third session of the afternoon - the slot where conferences usually lose the room. The play woke the audience up and the discussion that followed was the best of the day.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

From 50 to several hundred. Below 50 we usually recommend a more interactive workshop format. Above 300 we can still deliver Corporate Theatre with strong staging - the per-person practice element compresses but the recognition still lands.

We bring our actors and our facilitators. Your AV team or venue tech handles staging, lighting and sound. We brief and rehearse with them ahead of the event, so the play lands cleanly on the day.

Yes - and we strongly recommend it. The session is far more effective when the scenarios and discussion match the theme of your conference rather than running alongside it. We work with your event leads in the scoping call.

Common pattern: a keynote in the main room and breakouts where smaller cohorts go deeper on Coaching, Difficult Conversations, Leadership or Upstander. The keynote frames; the breakouts practise. We can hold both ends.

Six to twelve weeks for confidence, especially for larger productions with co-design and AV coordination. Shorter is sometimes possible for adaptations of work we have performed before.
