Christmas PartyEnd of Year Learning Event

This is not a Christmas party. A training session with extra food and drinks.

A session with The Experience Lab, followed by food and drinks. Your team still gets a day together, bonds, and learns, and you can justify it to HR.

Why people book it

Celebration

A day away from the grind.

Recognition

A session for your team that recognises their contribution through the year.

Compliance

A training session helps mitigate risk and is a timely reminder of the standards and expectations. The positive duty to prevent sexual harassment applies to the end-of-year function as much as it applies throughout the year.

Learning

The session is real. People leave with something they can use at the Christmas Party Event and into 2027.

Remember to
  • Brief the team before your event. Say what's expected out loud, and don't leave it unsaid and assumed.
  • Have someone sober and visibly in charge.
  • Set a finish time and keep to it. The incidents we hear about rarely happen at the start.
  • Run a bar tab with a limit, not an open bar.
  • Remind managers before it starts that they are still managers at the party.
  • Tell everyone how to raise something on the night, and who to go to.
  • Check in on Monday. Ask the question before someone has to come to you with it.
How it runs

Our sessions sit anywhere on the spectrum of fun to compliance.

Length: a lunch and learn, a micro-session, or a half day.
